Ambient Intelligence and Embedded Systems

Background

This is the official announcement for the "International Symposium on Ambient Intelligence and Embedded Systems 2016".

This year the event will be organized in collaboration with the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Crete, Heraklion, Greece and Kiel University of Applied Sciences, Germany. The workshop series was jointly initiated in 2002 by Vaasa UAS and Kiel UAS. Since then it has been very successfully organized in Vaasa, Kiel, Aveiro, Geel, Heraklion, Madeira, Chania, Espoo (Helsinki), Berlin, and Oostende. 

Purpose

The idea of the international symposium is to share knowledge and experiences in the areas of Ambient Intelligence, Embedded Systems, Internet Programming and Industrial IT.
It is aimed at researchers and developers from academia and industry as well as experienced students working in those areas of specialization.

The symposium will cover (but is not limited to) the following topics.

Presentations will be accepted for the conference sessions and for the poster sessions.

 

Types and duration of presentations

  • Paper Presentation: 20 minutes
  • Lecture/Tutorial: 45 minutes

Submission Instructions for Abstracts: The abstracts should be prepared according to the following format: Abstract of about 250 words, MS-Word or PDF format, in English. Poster (preview) prepared in A4 format (210x297mm) as an MS-Word or PDF document.

 

Official Language

The official language of the symposium will be English.
